About us

This Privately owned 18 peg fishing lake is over a 100 years old and holds good stocks of mirror and common carp up to 20lb with eel, roach, rudd etc.

To find the fishery, from Sleaford, go south on Mareham Lane then left onto White Cross Lane. Continue on this lane for two miles, over the railway, and the fishery is on your left.

Most pegs have their own parking which are all concreted.

Fishing rules

01

All anglers are to be in possession of a valid Environmental Agency rod licence.

Landing nets are to be used for all catches. All nets are to be dipped in the net disinfectant solution bin by the noticeboard, prior to fishing.

Unhooking mats &/or cradles are to be used on the bank for all fish caught.

Maximum size 6 hook. Barbless or microbarbed hooks only.

No Braided mainline. Minimum mainline strength when fishing for carp/pike is 10lb & of monofilament construction. Braided hook lengths are allowed. Max breaking strain of 15lb. Minimum line strength for all other species – 3lb.

Pike fishing permitted between October & March. Sufficient fish care & forceps to be carried by anglers.

Carp care kit or Bonjela gel to be carried if fishing for carp & applied to the fish in the event of discovering injured fish.

All litter including unwanted line to be to be taken home at the end of your session.

Disposable BBQs are allowed but are to be used on the gravel areas only with a minimum of 2mtr distance from the fence line. No open fires.

Fish are not to be removed from the premises at any time.

Keepnets are only to be used during matches.

Fish are not to be higher than knee height for photos. Fish are to be secured in weigh slings or net heads when being weighed. Fish are to be returned to the water as soon as possible.

No baited rods to be left unattended.

No loud music.

Under 14s are to be accompanied by an adult at all times. No groups of more than 3 at any time.

Dogs are permitted but must be controlled at all times & all mess cleared up & taken off site for disposal.

Gate combinations are not to be shared & will be changed frequently to preserve access to the site.

Night fishing is by prior arrangement with the fishery management.

All person’s fish at their own risk. Lifesaving aids are provided & are not to be removed from the venue.

All unusual activity/ fish thefts or deceased fish are to be reported to the fishery staff as quickly as possible.
